Dues Receives Lifetime Achievement Award

Dale Dues, Minster-Jackson Township’s retired fire chief, received the R. Stanley Crosley Lifetime Achievement Award at the Shelby County Firefighters Association banquet on Saturday, February 17.

This award is given to a firefighter who has unselfishly served their department and the Shelby County Firefighters Association in helping to advance the fire service with minimum of twenty years of service. Marc Rue, Treasurer of the Shelby County Firefighter Association, presented the award to him.

The Minster-Jackson Township Fire Department is a member of the Shelby County organization as the Minster department borders several Shelby County fire districts and is called upon for mutual aid during large fires.

Dues was nominated for the R. Stanley Crosley Lifetime Achievement Award for the following achievements: He served the Minster-Jackson Township Fire Department for over 40 years, holding the rank as chief for 20 years.
