Fort Loramie, Minster Girls Top Seeds in Tournament

The Minster and Fort Loramie girls basketball team's success have been rewarded with top seeds in the upcoming state tournament.

The Wildcats and Redskins are top seeds in their respective districts.

Minster will get a first-round bye and play the winner of New Knoxville and Upper Scioto Valley at 8 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 24 at Coldwater High School. Elsewhere in the bracket, New Bremen got the third seed and decided to play a first-round game. The Cardinals will take on Waynesfield-Goshen at 6:15 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 21 at Coldwater High School. The winner moves on to play Marion Local at 6 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 24 at Coldwater. The winners on Saturday at Coldwater advance to the Wapakoneta district for game on Thursday, March 1 at 8 p.m.

Fourth-seeded St. Henry will play the winner of Ridgemonet and Parkway at 6 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 24 at Allen East High School. Second-seeded Fort Recovery will take on Ada on Saturday, Feb. 24 at 8 p.m. at Allen East. The winner gets the St. Henry/Ridgemont/Parkway winner in Wapakoneta on Thursday, March 1 at 6:15 p.m.

Fort Loramie got the top seed in the Sidney bracket and will play 11th-seeded Ansonia on Saturday, Feb. 17 at 3 p.m. at Sidney High School. The winner advances to play Lehman on Wednesday, Feb. 21 at 6 p.m. On the other side of the sectional, Jackson Center and Triad will play on Saturday, Feb. 17 at 4:30 p.m. The winner faces Houston, with the winner taking on the top side of the bracket on Saturday, Feb. 24 at 1:30 p.m.
