Marion Local, Fort Loramie Top Seeds in Div. IV Tourney

The Marion Local boys basketball team earned the top seed, while the Minster  boys basketball team received the fourth seed in the Division IV Wapakoneta district.

In the Division IV Piqua district, Fort Loramie earned the top seed.

Marion Local will play the winner of Temple Christian and Ridgemont at 6 p.m. on Friday , March 2 at Lima Bath High School. The winner advances to the Wapakoneta district for a Tuesday, March 6 match-up against USV/Perry or New Bremen.

New Bremen received the sixth seed and will open against fifth-seeded Perry at 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 27 at Lima Bath High School. The winner takes on USV on Friday, March 2 at 8 p.m. at Bath.

Minster received a first-round bye after earning the fourth seed and will play either Allen East or New Knoxville at 8 p.m. on Friday, March 2 at Coldwater High School. The winner  plays the winner of St. Henry/Ada/Wayensfield-Goshen on Tuesday, March 6 at the Wapakoneta district at 8 p.m.

The district title game at Wapakoneta is scheduled for Friday, March 9 at 7 p.m.

Fort Loramie, which is 19-2 on the season, will open its tournament against 12th-seeded Mechanicsburg on Saturday, Feb. 24 at 5:30 p.m. in Piqua. The winner gets Bradford on Wednesday, Feb. 28 at 6 p.m. The district title game is set for Saturday, March 3 at 7 p.m., with the winner advancing to the regional at UD Arena.
