Mescher, Braun named to All-Ohio Lists

After helping lead their respective teams to the regional level of the tournament, a pair of boys basketball players from the Community Post coverage area were named to the Associated Press' All-Ohio boys basketball lists in Division III and IV.

In Division III, Marion Local junior Tyler Mescher, a 6-foot-3 junior, was named Honorable Mention All-Ohio.

In Division IV, Fort Loramie’s Dillon Braun, a 6-foot-1 junior, earned Honorable Mention All-Ohio honors.

The area was represented on the lists. Versailles’ Justin Ahrens, a 6-foot-6 junior who averaged 23.4 points per game was named Division III Co-Player of the Year along with Wayne Trace’s Ethan Linder and earned First Team All-Ohio honors. Ahrens is a verbal commit to Ohio State.

Tim Kreeger of Delphos St. John’s, a 6-foot-6 senior who averaged 18.7 points per game, was named Divisoin IV First Team All-Ohio after leading his team to the state’s final four. Brady Wildermuth of Jackson Center, a 6-foot-6 senior who averaged 21.3 points per game, was Second Team All-Ohio. Luke Bergman of Botkins was Honorable Mention All-Ohio.
