The regular season finales in the Midwest Athletic Conference lacked any drama as far as deciding a champion goes, with Versailles already in the clubhouse with the trophy after running through the conference wtih a perfect 9-0 record this winter. But on a night that wrapped up the regular season for nine of the MAC's 10 squads (Fort Recovery still has a regular season game against McComb scheduled for Saturday), Minster and New Bremen solidified successful seasons, Marion Local snapped a losing streak and St. Henry continued its late-season momentum with one final regular season victory.

Minster 38, Fort Recovery 35 — The Minster girls basketball completed a 19-3 regular season and a 8-1 run through the Midwest Athletic Conference with a win in a battle of the top two seeds in the area's Division IV district tournament bracket. The Wildcats finished alone in second place in the conference after the win over Fort Recovery, which completed its regular season at 17-5, 6-3 in the MAC. Minster, which is the top seed in the Wapakoneta district, will play the winner of New Knoxville and Upper Scioto Valley on Saturday, Feb. 24 at 8 p.m. in Coldwater. Fort Recovery, which earned the second seed in the Wapak district, will get the Ada Bulldogs on Saturday, Feb. 24 at 8 p.m.

New Bremen 55, Delphos St. John’s 31 — New Bremen finished the regular season above .500 in the MAC at 5-4 — a two-game improvement over last year's finish — and a strong 17-5 overall record. Jane Homa tallied a team-high 14 points for New Bremen along with seven rebounds. Hanna Tenkman added 10 points and eight rebounds. Paige Jones dished out seven assists. New Bremen earned the third seed in the sectional tourney at Coldwater but chose to play a first-round game over taking the bye. The Cardinals will take on ninth-seeded Waynesfield-Goshen on Wednesday, Feb. 21 at 6:15 p.m. in Coldwater.

Marion Local 44, New Knoxville 40 — The Flyers broke through with a win to snap a seven-game losing streak and go into the tournament with a victory. Marion Local will fade the winner of New Bremen and Waynesfield-Goshen on Saturday, Feb. 24 at 6 p.m. at Coldwater.

St. Henry 48, Parkway 37 — St. Henry finished the regular season by winning four of its last five games and will now get a bye in the sectional at Allen East. The Redskins will face either Ridgemont or Parkway on Saturday, Feb. 24 at 6 p.m.
