Stallo Memorial Library (Minster)

All locations in the Auglaize County Library system will be closed on Monday, May 28 for Memorial Day.

The 2018 Summer Reading Program will begin at all Auglaize County Libraries on Tuesday, May 29. Sign up at any location.

— On Monday, May 7, IT Services Manager, Fred Miller will present Microsoft Excel Part 1. This will be part one of a two part series on creating and formatting worksheets that conclude on Monday, May 21, with Microsoft Excel Part 2. Call the library at (419) 628-2925 or go to www.auglaizelibraries.org to register for one or both classes. Descriptions are online. Class size is limited.

— Enjoy ice cream sundaes while listening to stories at the Stallo Memorial Library. All ages are invited to sign up. Monday, May 7 & 14 from 3:30-4 p.m.

— Tuesday, May 8 Lego builders of all ages are invited to Stallo Memorial Library for Lego Builders Club between 3:30 and 4:30 pm. What fun thing can YOU create from Legos? Builders are welcome to bring your own Legos to share or use ours.

— On Wednesday, May 9, adults can stop by Stallo Memorial Library to enjoy a classic movie at 1pm.  Snacks are provided.

— Looking for a Good Book to Read or a New Author? Come to this casual discussion group at the Stallo Memorial Library where we talk about what we are currently reading. Find out what others are reading and about some of their favorite books. No Registration required. Come at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, May 16, to get a Novel Idea!

New Bremen Public Library

— Come join us for stories, activities, crafts and plain old shake your sillies out during Story Time on Tuesdays at 6:30 p.m. or Thursdays at 10:30 a.m. For all ages up to first grade.

— Kick off the weekend with a classic, family friendly film! All ages are welcome! Friday, May 4 from 10-12, at the New Bremen Library.

— After School Snack! Stop by the library every Monday in April from 3:30 – 4 for a light snack and get your books for the week.

— Stop in the New Bremen Library on Monday, May 7,  to make a thumbprint flower bookmark for Mother’s Day! Craft is available from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.

— Kids in 2nd Grade & up can sign up for the Mad Scientists Club at the New Bremen Library on Tuesday, May 8. Things might get a little crazy with these weird science experiments! 4 p.m. - 4:30 p.m.

— Get ready to pit your favorite fictional characters against each at the New Bremen Library in a Superhero fight night. We’ll draw opponents randomly, and then engage in lighthearted debate to convince the group to vote for your favorite character. Thursday, May 10 from 6-7 p.m.

— The New Bremen Library will be showing cartoons (classic and new) every other Saturday morning (May 12, 26) from 10- 11 a.m. Pajamas optional!

— Come to the New Bremen Library for an afternoon of Scrabble fun! Games start at 1 p.m. on Monday, May 14. Adults can register by calling the library or going to the events calendar online.

— Paws to Read! at the New Bremen Library on Monday, May 14. This program is designed to build confidence in struggling readers. Through Paws to Read, we have created a positive, nonthreatening, fun environment for children in the library.  Children in grades K-3 read for 15-minute intervals starting at 6 p.m. to a registered therapy dog.  Sign up required.  Call (419) 629-2158 or stop by the library.

— Play, build, experiment and have fun with our stash of Legos! Children, Pre-teens, and Families are welcome to join us for Lego Club on Tuesdays, May 15 from 3:30-4:30 p.m.

— We found it on Pinterest! Craft along with us as we try new things we’ve seen on Pinterest. Adults are welcome on Thursday, May 17 at 1 p.m.  or at 6:30 for crafting fun. Register online or by calling the library at (419) 629-2158. All materials will be provided.

— Kick off the weekend with a classic, family friendly film. All ages are welcome! Friday, May 18 from 10-12 at the New Bremen Library.

— Love to read but always searching for that next great book?  Then join us at the New Bremen Library on Thursday, May 24 at 1 p.m., for the Book Buzz adult book club. We will discuss what we’ve read lately over coffee and dessert.

— Leonardo Music Show! Come to the New Bremen Library on Tuesday, May 29 at 1 p.m. to see a fabulous music show! Put on your dancing shoes and bring your best air guitar moves because it’s time to go Rockin’ and Reading with Leonardo!
