Versailles Hosts Poultry Days June 9-11

Versailles Poultry Days and the Village of Versailles would like to invite you to the 66th annual Poultry Days Festival June 9, 10, and 11th. 

“We will close the highway just like we have since 1972 and promise another great weekend,” a Poulty Days release said.

The Poultry Days’ Social Tent will offer largest live music event in Darke County again for 2017 with a line-up of musicians.  Nine live musical acts offer sounds ranging from familiar festival tunes,  alternative rock, to popular country.  With a social tent that can hold 2,000 people you can choose to be up front by the music or at a quiet table in the bar area.  If you want to be in the sunshine or under the stars, table seating has been expanded yet again to 450.

Parade — The Antique Car Parade begins at 2:30 on Sunday, June 11th and is preceded by a cruise-in display beginning at 9:00 am.  The Antique Car display will move back to Center Street and expects to surpass 150 vehicles.  Antique Car Parade entrants arriving early will receive a goody bag and chicken dinner ticket.   The 66th annual Versailles Poultry Days will be held June 9-11th with a festival theme of “Poultry Days Eggstravaganza”.

Talent Show — At the Worch Talent Show Eggstravaganza on Sunday, June 11 from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m., participants will be able to show off their talents during the Poultry Days’ festivities. Talent show screenings will be held at Worch Library on May 17th from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. and on May 20th from 11a.m. to 2 p.m.

Miss Chick — the 2017 Miss Chick Pageant, sponsored by the Versailles Savings and Loan and Versailles Poultry Days, Inc., will take place June 9 & 10, 2017 beginning with personal interviews at noon on Friday the 9th and the onstage interview beginning at 2 p.m. on Saturday the 10th in the old VHS High School Gymnasium located at 459 S. Center Street.
