Draft plan presented to reopen Minster schools

Staff Writer

Minster Schools Superintendent Brenda Boeke presented a draft plan for the reopening of schools this fall term at the school board meeting, July 20. She expects to present a further revised plan for approval in the coming weeks, which she noted with more revisions possible given the current virus climate, even after approval by her leadership team.
“As schools start to reopen, the health and safety of students and staff is paramount. In addition to the county-wide document, Minster Local Schools will be implementing safety protocols and taking extra steps to keep our students and staff safe. This is not an all-encompassing list but follows the guidelines released by the Ohio Department of Health (ODH) and the Ohio Department of Education (ODE) ‘COVID-19 Health and Prevention Guidance for Ohio K-12 Schools.’ This plan may be modified at any time as new information is learned,” reported Boeke.
