Call it a homecoming, call it a change of scenery, but weekly bingo hosted by the Minster Area Life
Squad (MALS) will go on! On Jan. 31 the first game took place at the new location, the old Eagles, also the original Knights of Columbus Hall.
On Oct. 19, 1937, the first game of bingo was played at the original Knights of Columbus Hall and stayed
there until 1948 when they moved to the 40 N. Main address where it has remained since then.
With the current Knights of Columbus building at 40 N. Main choosing to pursue other business opportunities, bingo was in need of a new home.
“It’s moving back to where it originally started because that’s where the Knights of Columbus started,”
said Carol Albers, Manager of MALS bingo games.
