Minster Village Council addresses the new reality

Staff Writer

Tuesday, April 7, Minster Village Council meeting took on new and a different significance as the Council grappled with the repercussions of dealing with the coronavirus.
The backdrop of the entire meeting is that it wasn’t in the Council chamber but was held via the teleconference Zoom application, each participant logged in remotely.
Paramount in the Council’s thought processes was the unknown of what income tax revenues could be in the upcoming months until the economy is up and running again. Projects that had been planned were now seen as “wait and see” and probable to be moved to next year’s calendar because “we can make do” in the meantime in the face of suffering tax revenues.
