Minster's Lee to Retire In July

Staff Writer

The Minster Schools Board of Education may have been meeting a week later than its usual practice of the third Monday  of the month due to a scheduling conflict, but that did not diminish the number of items it faced on its agenda Monday evening.

After President Kurt Forsthoefel’s call to order the Board dug into a busy agenda that included  accepting the retirement of junior and senior high school principal Mike Lee effective this summer.

Lee, who also served as the longtime boys basketball coach before stepping down from that position last spring, will retire from his principal’s position effective July 31.

In other news at the school board meeting, Elementary Principal Leeanne Keller reported that 60 children are currently on the kindergarten screening list for the next school year.
