Minster's Recycling Program Saved More Than 230,000 Pounds From Landfill in 2017

The village of Minster kept 236,830 pounds of waste from going into a landfill in 2017.

Auglaize County Solid Waste Management Dstrict coordinator Scott Cisco gave the Minster Recycling Center a certificate of achievement for the village’s accomplishment.

From Jan. 1 to Dec. 31 in 2017, the village recycled more than 11,000 pounds of clear glass, almost 14,000 pounds of brown glass, 64,636 pounds of cardboard, 40,014 pounds of newspaper roll off and 74,392 pounds of mixed paper, according to a village document prepared in early January by Alexa Rohm, the office coordinator of the Auglaize County Solid Waste Mangement District.
