Tri-Star Hosts Open House Jan. 8

Staff Writer

Tri Star recently hosted its “Sophomore Visits” week. Sophomores who are considering enrolling in Tri Star visit a program of their choice during the morning session.   While at Tri Star, they work alongside current Tri Star students, taking part in the everyday hands-on projects and technologies used in that specific program.

They also learn what they can do with the skills they will develop, such as, go straight into the workforce or continue on to college.  The visit is designed to help sophomores make a good decision about whether a Tri Star program is right for them.   All nine area feeder high schools visit Tri Star throughout the week with Coldwater, Fort Recovery, and St. Henry visiting on Tuesday, while Celina, New Bremen, Minster and New Knoxville visit ing on Wednesday and Marion Local and St. Marys visiting on Thursday.

Students have another chance to investigate a Tri Star program during the Open House on Monday, Jan. 8.  All locations and classrooms are open and students are encouraged to visit any number of programs that were of interest to them from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.

To apply for a program, Sophomores must complete a Tri Star application and return it to their high school guidance counselor by the deadline.  Applications can be found on Tri Star website, picked up at the Tri Star office or from their guidance counselor. Any student or parent with questions is encouraged to call the Tri Star Office at 419-586-7060.
